Epoxy Flake Floor System

A multi-layered system comprising of an epoxy base coat and vinyl flake chips sealed with either quick drying polyaspartic topcoat or a polyurethane topcoat. At SIC'EM EPOXY, we follow a well-detailed installation process that ensures your new garage flooring will not delaminate in the next 15 years.

Floor Preparation - There are different processes for the many types of solutions available. Regardless of the type of product you choose, before any installation begins the surface will be cleaned and prepped. Surface prep includes grinding/sanding & repairs the substrate needs to create the best surface possible for epoxy bonding.
Primer - Out floor systems start by applying a Primer &/or Moisture Vapor Barrier Coat. This prevents epoxy from lifting and peeling due to moisture.
For Silica System: Quartz System: Solid Color System:
We will apply a Pigmented Broadcast Coat (solid base color/depends on quarts color)
For 3D System: Metallic System:
After the primer we will apply a colored base coat.
Secont coat: Once the base coat has been applied we will move onto either broadcasting vinyl flakes, quartz granules or silical sand onto the floor or we will apply the metallic coat or the vinyl for our 3D floor systems
Protect - Final step of the floor installation is to apply a protective UV stable clear topcoat. The topcoat is designed to protect your new epoxy floor from damages, wear and tear, stains, discoloration or fading under direct sunlight.
